UK telecoms company British Telecom has appointed media rights specialist Marc Watson as commercial director of BT Vision, its IPTV arm.
Watson joins from Reel Enterprises, the company set up by Shed Productions non-executive director David Kogan, which is dedicated to rights negotiations, channel development and sport. At BT, Watson will be responsible for all BT Vision commercial activities, including programming and content acquisition.
At Reel, Watson was media rights negotiator and strategic adviser for the Football League, the Scottish Premier League and the NFL in Europe.
