US OLYMPIC COMMITTEE NARROWS 2016 BID CITIES TO THREE

Tagged in &

The US Olympic Committee has narrowed down its list of possible bidding cities for the 2016 Olympics to three.

Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco will fight it out to be the USA’s representative after the US Olympic Committee dropped Houston and Philadelphia from consideration.

The USOC will decide whether it will bid by the end of the year and if it does, it will select a candidate city in March. The committee will continue its applicant city evaluation procedure. Los Angeles has twice hosted the Olympics, in 1932 and 1984, while the last US city to host the games was Atlanta in 1996.
