Pan-European broadcaster Eurosport agreed a deal with the European Volleyball Confederation for the TV rights for volleyball’s European League.
The tournament, which takes place over the next month, is a national team competition. The deal runs until 2008 and covers three European League competitions as well as the Indesit European Champions League in 2006-07 and 2007-08 and the qualifying tournaments for the FIVB World Grand Prix and the 2008 Olympic Games.
The deal comprises around 70 hours of live coverage. There will be 33 live broadcasts of the European League, around 50 hours of coverage, as well as nine delayed broadcasts.
