ROMANIAN UEFA CUP TV DEAL

Romanian commercial broadcaster Antena 1 acquired the rights for the Uefa Cup latter stages and the Uefa Super Cup for the next three seasons.

The Uefa Cup rights comprise quarter-final matches through to the final. The Uefa Super Cup is contested each year by the reigning Uefa Champions League and Uefa Cup holders in Monaco. The one-off game at the Stade Louis II traditionally heralds the start of a new European club competition campaign.

Uefa said Antena 1 won the rights following a very competitive sales process, reflecting a healthy television marketplace in Romania and a high demand for quality football.
