MLB LOOKS TO SELL FINAL TV RIGHTS PACKAGE

US broadcasters ESPN, TBS, FX and OLN are all vying for in the TV rights to the remaining Major League Baseball American and National League Championship series games from 2007.

ESPN, TBS, FX reportedly are only interested in the Championship series games, but the MLB wants to package all the matches together with some regular season games and even a new nightly baseball news/results show which the MLB could co-produce with a network. The MLB said it is still looking at its options while negotiating price.

It is thought OLN might bid for the entire package, although price would be a consideration. It is thought the MLB is asking about $70 million a year.
