Financial services group Barclays is set to renew its title sponsorship of golf’s Scottish Open.
Talks with the event organisers are at an advanced stage and an announcement on a new deal is expected soon. The popular event takes place at Loch Lomond the week before the British Open, one of golf’s four majors.
It is thought likely that Barclays will extend the deal for a further three years, with an option for a further two years. Barclays' present deal expired at the end of this year’s tournament.
