In Portugal, RTP acquired the rights for the first choice matches as well as highlights each match night. In Germany, Premiere acquired the rights for the first choice matches on a non-exclusive basis and the exclusive rights for the remainder of matches and highlights.
The German free-to-air rights to for first choice matches were retained by Uefa which has received several offers for the rights and is in talks with the broadcasters. In Portugal, the award of rights for the remainder of the Uefa Cup matches as well as highlights rights is expected to be finalised shortly.
