Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but as part of the deal Jeld-Wen will receive advertising on tournament coverage by the Golf Channel and NBC.
Jeld-Wen becomes the event’s third major sponsor, joining financial services companies PricewaterhouseCoopers and UBS. The tournament, held at the Sawgrass course in Florida, is considered just one rung below the PGA tour’s four Majors.
Jeld-Wen has previously been involved in golf, sponsoring the Senior Tour’s Tradition tournament.
