Uefa, European football’s governing body announced the schedule of events for its Champions League draw, Uefa Cup draw and the traditional season-opening Super Cup match.

Thursday 24 August 2006 - Draw for the 2006/07 Uefa Champions League group stage, including the “Uefa Club Football Awards”

Friday 25 August 2006 -Draw for the first round of the 2006/07 Uefa Cup

Friday 25 August 2006 at 20:45 at the Stade Louis II, Monaco - Uefa Super Cup match between FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC.
