Chairman France did not reveal exactly what plans he had in mind, but said the changes would add more drama to the Chase for the Nextel Cup – introduced by France when he took over the series two years ago to spice up the series.
France said: “I have always said the Chase needed a few years under its belt to see how it evolves, how it changes in strategy.
“Now its in its third year, it is the ideal time for us make adjustments.”
NASCAR chief Brian France says he plans to tweak the format of the series in a bid to further challenge NFL TV ratings.
