The joint venture – Lat34.com – will feature video-on-demand and focus on a range of action sports.
Jim Bankoff, AOL's executive vice president of programming and products, said: “The action sports world is a passionate, under-served community that, until now, has had to rely on individual sport sites, product driven print publications or scheduled television programming. Lat34.com is a 24/7 broadband network.”
AOL has joined forces with video production firm Fusion Entertainment to launch a new online network devoted to extreme sports.
