Last week prosecutors revealed charges of sporting fraud would be levelled against 26 people and Serie A giants Juventus, AC Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina.
Now Francesco Saverio Borrelli, who is investigating the claims on behalf of the Italian football federation, the FIGC, confirmed a number of other teams in Italy’s top three divisions were being looked at.
The probe into the match-fixing scandal in Italian soccer shows no signs of slowing after officials confirmed the focus was now shifting onto a number of smaller clubs.
