Lee, who left his role as director of communications within the London 2012 team in December, founded Vero in January of this year.
Jonathan Edwards, broadcaster, Olympic gold triple jumper and world record holder, has joined the company as a consultant and will also chair a newly established Vero advisory board, which will bring together interesting individuals from the worlds of sport and business to do ‘blue skies’ thinking about the future of the sector.
The full membership of the new board will be announced later this month.
In addition, Vero has also recruited Claire Furlong, currently head of communications for the English Institute of Sport (EIS), as Vero’s head of media relations.
Kate Chester, formerly a senior PA to the chairman of Harrods, also joins the firm as company administrator.
Lee said: “The number of new clients we have been winning recently, both in the UK and internationally, made these appointments a necessity.”
