According to a report in the Toronto Sun newspaper, the motorsport will race at Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve next season.
A final decision is expected within the next two months, with Steve O’Donnell, NASCAR’s managing director of events and operations, telling the paper final contract details are being confirmed before a date for the race is confirmed.
O’Donnell said: “From a facilities standpoint and its proximity to the city it is a great venue for NASCAR.”
The NASCAR Busch series is set to blast into Canada for the first time next year.
