BLACK MARKET TICKETS 'WILL BE HONOURED'

FIFA World Cup chiefs have confirmed fans buying black market tickets for the tournament will still be granted access to games.

Despite having names printed on tickets and pre-tournament claims all tickets would be checked, officials say only 500-1,000 fans are being subject to spot checks.

And that even if the names do not match those on the tickets, they can gain entry.
Wolfgang Niersbach, the vice-president of the organising committee, said: “If someone says that they have a ticket but it is not their name on it, the transfer of identity can be done there and then at the stadium.”
