It is the latest coup for the firm in France, which acted for the local organising committees of the 1998 FIFA World Cup, IAAF World Athletics Championship 2003 and also advises French soccer’s governing body.

International law firm Clifford Chance has been appointed official legal advisors to the Rugby World Cup 2007 by governing body the IRB.
