USOC HAPPY WITH FIVE 2016 CITIES

Tagged in &

US Olympic Committee chiefs say visits to the five cities hoping to be the US bid candidate for the 2016 Olympics were ‘extremely productive’.

But it has asked Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco and Philadelphia to submit more information prior to their presentations to the USOC board in California on June 23.
USOC chairman Peter Ueberroth said: “The initial meetings with the cities were extremely productive, which is why we now need some more information from each.”
USOC will submit one bid when the IOC opens the bidding process next year.
