Anderson, the current ICC East Asia-Pacific development manager will relocate from the regional office in Melbourne, Australia, to the ICC head office in Dubai.
His appointment follows the withdrawal of Cricket Scotland CEO Roddy Smith from the recruitment process for personal reasons.
Said ICC chief executive Malcolm Speed: “In the global recruitment process for this position Tim and Roddy were the outstanding candidates so we are delighted that Tim has agreed to join us in this important role.”
Roddy Smith will continue in his role as Cricket Scotland CEO.
