TOGO AGREE WORLD CUP PAY DEAL

Tagged in &

A pay deal has been agreed with Togo’s national soccer team which solves a problem which threatened their involvement in the FIFA World Cup.

Togo squad members had demanded a host of financial incentives for appearing in Germany – which included a reported EUR155,000 each to play, EUR30,000 each for every win and EUR15,000 for every draw they achieved.
The team are rank outsiders for the tournament and few back them to progress past the opening stages.
Now Togo soccer chiefs say an agreement has been reached – but not all player demands have been met.
It is believed officials refused the EUR155,000 demand per player per game request.
