FERRARI RING UP NEW SPONSORSHIP DEAL

Formula One team Ferrari has signed a sponsorship deal with Italian telecommunications, media and internet firm, the Telecom Italia Group.

The deal will see the firm’s Alice brand become an official sponsor of the F1 team with branding appearing on cars.

Ferrari managing director Jean Todt said: “Innovation, the pursuit of excellence, speed and a spirit of competition are just some of the values we share with Telecom Italia and they will form the basis of a close and productive collaboration.”

The agreement comes into effect from January 1, 2007 and lasts for three years.
