The agreement will see action streamed live on GloboEsporte.com with Quova’s technology blocking access from outside Brazil.
Quova Media is already employed to protect TV Globo's territory rights for the first live online streaming of NBA games outside of the US, which began in February.
Antonio Maia, CTO of Globo.com, said: “Given Quova's success with the Tour de France, the Olympics and our own NBA venture, we feel comfortable trusting them to help us meet FIFA's strict standards for territory rights compliance in our World Cup broadcasts."
The online unit of Brazilian media giant Globo has teamed up with geolocation specialists Quova to deliver live streaming video coverage of next month’s FIFA World Cup.
