The track was withdrawn amid uncertainty over its funding and redevelopment this season, but hopes are growing it will return for 2007.
Ecclestone revealed: “We are trying to put an agreement together, but it's not easy dealing with politicians.
“We'll probably get it together, and we'll try and get it back. I think we need to have Spa if we can, so we're doing our best."
Belgium’s Spa circuit could be back on the Formula One calendar next year after Bernie Ecclestone admitted he wanted the track to return to the sport.
