Angola, Nigeria, Libya, and a joint bid from Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, made the final shortlist after four other bids were rejected following presentations to CAF this weekend.
Mozambique, Senegal, Namibia and Zimbabwe all saw their bids eliminated by CAF’s Executive Committee in Cairo.
Following visits from CAF inspectors, the successful nation will be announced in September.
