World record holding British sailor Alex Thomson has signed a four-year, multi-million dollar, sponsorship with Hugo Boss.
The new contract will cover Thomson as he attempts three round the world races in as many years; the Velux 5 Oceans 2006, the Barcelona World Race 2007 and the Vendee Globe 2008.
Head of sports sponsorship at Hugo Boss, Till Pohlmann, said: “Alex is a rarity in the sporting world; a world record holder and a charismatic competitor with bags of instinctive raw talent. He is the perfect ambassador for us.”
