UK pay-TV platform Sky has unveiled plans to broadcast live sport simultaneously on both conventional TV and mobile phones.
The broadcaster says it will show cricket and soccer live across both platforms – beginning this weekend – as part of its Sky Mobile TV service.
And it claims in its first month alone it will beam close to 100-hours of content to mobile handsets.
The service kicks-off with coverage of this weekend’s Football League play-off games, and will then feature England’s first Test match of the summer which gets underway next week against Sri Lanka.
