UEFA president Lennart Johansson, 76, says he has not ruled out once again running for the post at the next elections in 2007.
Speaking in Sweden, Johansson – who previously vowed to stand down next year – says he could be tempted to win another four-year term.
He told Swedish TV: “I am considering standing again. I am being persuaded to stay on and if the situation does not change I am ready to run for it. No-one has yet put their name forward for the job.”
