RBS SEALS 6 NATIONS RECOGNITION

Awareness of rugby union's RBS 6 Nations sponsorship was more than four times higher than any of the Autumn International Series sponsorships' at 40 per cent.

The sponsorship also achieved respectable top of mind awareness figures, according to figures obtained via Sports Marketing Surveys' weekly and nationally representative sponsorship tracking survey 'Sponsatrak'.

Among those with any interest in rugby union, awareness of the 6 Nations sponsorship was well over half - with awareness being particularly strong in Scotland and Wales.

The 6 Nations also helped drive interest in the sport, with those following the sport (via TV, press or internet) peaking at 57 per cent during the championships.

The findings form part of the latest report providing insight into the Rugby Union sponsorship market, 'RugbyTrak', which monitors sponsorship awareness of the most prominent brands in Rugby Union among a nationally representative UK sample.
