HUNGARIAN TENNIS YOUNGSTER SIGNS TO GAZ DE FRANCE

Hungary’s most promising female tennis player, Cgnes SzCvay, has signed a sponsorship agreement with the gas industry corporation Gaz de France.

Besides sponsoring international female tennis players and athletes, such as Marion Bartoli, AlizC) Cornet and Irena Pavlovik, the French group's two Hungarian subsidiaries, CgC!z Rt and DC)gC!z Zrt have now agreed to support a Hungarian talent for the first time.

"In the past two years we observed several tennis talents and we picked SzC!vay from the three best players," SC!ndor LaczC3, CEO of the two Hungarian companies told The Budapest Sun.

He added, "We can't make the amount of the sponsorship public; it will depend on her achievements. If she makes it into the top 100, she will receive a bonus."

SzC!vay, who, among other titles, won the Roland Garos junior single and doubles in 2005, told The Sun, "I am very pleased with our agreement, as there are very few companies willing to sponsor Hungarian tennis players.

"Because there are no training centers, 60-70% of the talent in this country give up on dreams of a tennis career very quickly."
