MONZA CONFIRMED FOR ITALIAN GP

Tagged in &

Monza will host host this season's Italian Grand Prix after the conclusion of a long-running row over noise pollution at the track.

The BBC reported the race had been under threat after a court ruled noise levels exceeded the legal limit and needed to be cut.

But it will now be run on 10 September after the regional council allowed a 30-day exemption to the ruling.

Monza has hosted every Italian Grand Prix since 1950 with the exception of 1980 when the race moved to Imola.
The circuit is co-owned by the municipalities of Monza and the nearby city of Milan.
