Play from each quarter of each match will be available for downloading, on small delay, with highlights clips to be packaged for use at the end of each quarter.
The offer is part of the AFL's internet and mobile telephone (new media) rights strategy which will deliver up to A$100 million for the AFL over five years, beginning in 2007.
They will be the AFL's most lucrative outside the A$780 million committed by Channels 7 and 10 for the TV rights.
Broadcasters Seven and Ten gave the AFL permission to on-sell at least 15 minutes of each match to the successful mobile phone service bidder.
The cost of downloading the footage will be determined by the successful telco.
Telstra currently holds the new media rights, for an estimated $5 million a year for 2002-06, but last week allowed to lapse an exclusivity arrangement with the AFL relating to the next deals.
