Extreme will support the new feed with on-air promotions and an updated French version of the popular action sports website www.extreme.com.
This will be backed up with local marketing and PR, handled by Extreme’s local representative Watch Us, and advertising and sponsorship sales representation by FTP (France TC)lC)vision PublicitC)).
The launch follows the recent introduction of Extreme content on CANALSAT on Mobile, the mobile extension of the country’s leading satellite and DSL TV platform, CANALSAT. The deal has brought Extreme branded content to more than one million 3G subscribers on France’s SFR network.
“The French market has major potential for Extreme,” says Phil Jones, Extreme’s managing director. “Action sports are both popular and mainstream in France, but for real success in this market it is necessary to localise your content as we are doing.”
This is the third feed Extreme has launched so far this year. In January, a new fully localised feed was launched into Poland, which followed the addition of a localised feed on Portugal’s TV Cabo digital platform in February. Extreme intends to roll out further feeds this year as part of its dynamic expansion plans for 2006.
