POLES DANCE AT NEW FIFA DEAL

Infront have secured two major live broadcast rights deals for this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Poland.

FIFA’s agency partner has signed agreements with public broadcaster Telewizja Polska and commercial broadcaster Telewizja Polsat.

The exclusive agreements ensure that all 64 matches of the upcoming tournament in Germany will be available both on free and pay-TV.

TVP acquired the rights to transmit 32 matches live on free-TV, including all matches of the Polish national team, the opening match and the final. TVP is Poland's public broadcaster and has the largest TV market share in the territory.

Telewizja Polsat has purchased a rights package that includes 32 matches for free-TV exploitation - excluding the matches granted to TVP - and all 64 matches for its pay-TV platform. Polsat is the leading commercial television network in Poland and is an existing partner of Infront, as the rights holder for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
