REBELS SIGN UP TO F1

The threat of a split in Formula One appears less likely following the decision of five rebel teams to enter the 2008 championship.

The move comes five days after F1's governing body, the FIA, set a deadline of 31 March for teams to enter by.

A statement from the group representing the manufacturers behind the split threat, the GPMA, said they had all submitted entry forms.

It added that the group's members "remain committed to improve the sport for the benefit of all stakeholders".
