INDIAN CRICKET REACHES OUT

Nimbus Communications Limited, the global media rights partner of the BCCI, has agreed TV deals for terrestrial broadcasts of Indian cricket across a number of African countries.

These include Kenya, Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

It has also closed a four-year deal with Super Sport, the South African pay- TV service.

Coverage in the Middle East has been secured by a radio rights deal with Hum FM and a TV deal with Ten Sports.

Derana has the terrestrial TV rights for Sri Lanka and Ten Sports secured non-exclusive pay-TV rights for Hong Kong & Sri Lanka.

All these deals are for the current India v England series, with Indian cricket going live into every continent via television, radio and internet broadband.
