New Zealander Brett O'Riley has become the first non-UK Chairman of the Professional Bowls Association.

The 43-year-old former vice chairman from Auckland was elected unanimously to the position at the PBA's Annual General Meeting.

Ireland's David Corkill, the former chairman, takes over the role of vice chairman.

O'Riley is the marketing manager of Telecom NZ’s corporate mobile business.
