DD will show all the matches on DD National network, while Nimbus - the global media rights owner of Indian cricket up to March 2010 - will retain 75 per cent of all revenues towards rights fees.
The world feed (live coverage) shall be provided to DD by Nimbus Sport, the BCCI-appointed producer.
All commercial airtime on the India-England Series - which starts on March 1 - will be exclusively marketed by Nimbus, as it will be for the ICC Champions Trophy 2006 and the ICC Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2007.
It has also signed a deal with Sahara One Media And Entertainment Ltd’s leading satellite and cable channel in India, Sahara One Television, to broadcast the tour's three Test matches and seven one-day internationals.
The channel, which is available free-to-air, will show all matches live.
Akash Khurana, MD and CEO, Nimbus, said: “Our choice of the Sahara One platform was dictated by the fact that the channel has near 100 per cent distribution in cable homes compared to sports channels that barely reach 50 per cent of cable homes.”
