The company, recognised by its double rainbow logo, signed the deal with the sport’s commercial rights-holders, Dorna Sports, yesterday.
It is the first time that the fashion brand has taken on title sponsorship of a MotoGP event - the ninth round of the MotoGP World Championship 2006 will be named the ‘GAS British Grand Prix’.
The race takes place at the Donington Park circuit on July 2.
GAS has grown from being an independent retailer in the 1970s into an international fashion-manufacturing house, and is the personal sponsor for several MotoGP riders and teams.
