The league also welcomes Raymond van Barneveld, who has joined the PDC from rival organisation the British Darts Organisation (BDO).
The Dutchman will also take on Phil 'The Power' Taylor in a bid to be crowned the greatest player in the world.
Taylor will defend his trophy against van Barneveld and a number of opponents who include current world number one Colin Lloyd, Premier League newcomer Ronnie Baxter, 2006 World Championship finalist Peter Manley, Dutch star Roland Scholten and crowd favourite Wayne Mardle.
The Holsten Premier League Darts kicks off on February 16 at St George's Hall, Blackburn and culminates with a play-offs night in Plymouth at the end of May. Matches between seven top professionals take place on Thursday nights at 11 different venues across the country, and will be screened live on Sky Sports.
Gareth Roberts, sponsorship controller at Carlsberg UK, said "by uniting with darts, the second-most watched sport on Sky Sports, we have a fantastic opportunity to put ourselves at the heart of British pub life”.
