The one-year agreement means that Sport Plus - part of the Canal Plus TV network - will screen all Catalans Dragons home matches not shown by Sky Sports in the UK, the main broadcast partner of the league.
The French-based Dragons kicked off their first season in Super League with a 38-30 win over Wigan on Saturday.
The French Rugby League Federation is also party to the agreement with the channel, which has previously broadcast the engage Super League Grand Final and the Gillette Tri-Nations tournament featuring Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand.
Rugby Football League (RFL) executive chairman Richard Lewis - who is also chairman of the Rugby League European Federation - said: "This broadcast agreement is a highly significant breakthrough for both the engage Super League and Rugby League in France.
"The coverage by Sport Plus will showcase the excitement and spectacle of the competition to new audiences and will also increase exposure for the elite game on a key channel in Europe."
