FORMER F1 ACE TAKES STAKE IN TEAM

Former driver Gerhard Berger has taken a 50 per cent ownership in Italian F1 team Scuderia Toro Rosso.

After a career as a driver in Formula One from 1984 and 1997, he became motorsport director at BMW.

Fifty per cent of the shares of Berger's shipping company are also changing hands: they will be transferred to Red Bull, who bought out the Minardi team at the end of last year.

The new joint shipping company will be involved as appropriate when assigning worldwide logistics contracts for freight and transport.
