Fasulo, currently executive director of the Association of Summer Olympic International Sports, based in Lausanne, says he wants to put an end to the revolving door leadership that has marked USOC international relations for several years.
The hiring of an international relations director may be a key step towards the launch of a new U.S. bid for the Olympics, but Ueberroth says there still is no change in USOC thinking about a 2016 bid, reports aroundtherings.com
"We haven't moved at all," he says, indicating that more study will be made before the USOC makes a decision.
In addition to his ASOIF post, Fasulo is a member of the IOC Coordination Commission for Beijing and was a member of the commission for Athens.
He's previously worked for the International Association of Athletics Federations and has lived in Europe since 1987.
