Manchester United have decided against going to the Gulf for a friendly match the week before their Carling Cup final clash against Wigan.
The club had been toying with the idea of heading for either Qatar or Dubai before the final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on February 26.
But with an FA Cup tie against Liverpool scheduled on February 18, club officials felt the time-span, given the travelling, was not convenient.
They have now given up on the idea and decided not to head east, according to sportinglife.com
