LC3pez will be based at ESPN’s Bristol, Connecticut headquarters and will report directly to Chris Calcinari, vice president of ESPN International and ESPN Deportes Production and Operations.
He will be responsible for overseeing the news gathering, editorial, and creative direction of SportsCenter that is produced at ESPN’s Mexico City facilities.
In addition, he will have supervisory responsibilities of the SportsCenter editions produced in Argentina and Brazil. LC3pez will also liaise with the SportsCenter production teams for the local editions in Canada and Asia.
LC3pez brings 20 years of broadcast production experience to ESPN including a background in both national and major market television news.
Prior to joining ESPN, LC3pez was news director for ABC affiliate KGUN-TV in Tucson where he was responsible for all editorial, talent, and news production.
