Japan Airlines will be the main sponsor of basketball's FIBA World Championship 2006.
The organising committee has reached the deal with Japan Airlines Corporation for the event sponsorship in the airline category, under which the company will also become the event's main sponsor.
The airline will extend a variety of support including transport services for the players and organising committee staff.
The championships in Japan take place over 16 days between August 19 and September 3, and feature 24 teams.
