CLINTONS ROUND OFF THE ARK

UK-based media, entertainment and sports law firm Clintons Solicitors have signed up as legal partner to sports consulting and research company ArkSports.

In return, ArkSports will become sports technology consultants to Clintons.

As well as representing ArkSports in its legal matters, Clintons Solicitors has become the new legal sponsor for ArkSports’ e-newsletter 'Sport and Technology', and the legal partner for Sport and Technology: The Conference 2006, in association with BT Media and Broadcast (www.sportandtechnologyconference.com).

Clintons Solicitors’ sports practice has recently been boosted by the arrival of Mel Stein as a consultant and Malcolm Murray and Tom Frederikse, formerly of The Simkins Partnership, as a partner and solicitor respectively.

He has represented footballers such as Chris Waddle, Paul Gascoigne and Alan Shearer as well as many clubs. He is currently legal adviser to the Football Conference, the top English division outside the Football League.

Murray brings experience in sponsorship and the commercial arrangements surrounding sports leagues, having worked on the establishment and operation of the Zurich Premiership in Rugby.

Frederikse brings specialist expertise in the digital technology sector.

Clintons provides legal services to the entertainment, sport and media sectors. Its sports clients include individual sportsmen and women from a wide range of sports, international and domestic governing bodies, event organisers, sponsors, FIFA licensed agents, sports marketing and sponsorship consultants and sports equipment manufacturers.
