NBC'S UNPRECEDENTED OLYMPICS COVERAGE

Tagged in &

US network NBC has claimed its coverage of the Torino Olympic Winter Games will be the most extensive of any winter Olympics ever, amounting to 416 hours across its networks.

The coverage, which will also include the most live coverage ever of an Olympics, will be across broadcast network NBC, cable nets USA, CNBC and MSNB, and HD (high definition) platforms NBC HD and Universal HD.

Over the 17 days of the Torino Games (February 10-26), NBC will average 24.5 hours of games coverage per day on its networks.

This is despite the previous Games, in Salt Lake City, being on home soil.

The network claims to have already sold nearly 90 per cent of its Olympic Winter Games ad inventory, with more than $800million in advertising revenue so far.

Meanwhile, NBCOlympics.com will provide live results, up-to-the-minute TV listings, breaking news and feature stories.
