The summit takes place at London’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre on January 19 and 20.
Other recently confirmed delegations include those from the team bidding to take the Commonwealth Games to Glasgow in 2014 and the 15th Asian Games, to be staged in Doha, Qatar, in December.
“International Sports Security Summit is only in its second edition but has already become established as the place where suppliers and those responsible for devising and implementing security strategies meet to discuss the ever changing threat,” said programme director Kevin Roberts.
And with presentations from the key individuals responsible for security operations at the Olympic Games in Sydney and Athens, the Winter Olympic Games in Torino, the ICC Cricket World Cup and other major events, the Summit represents an unparalleled meeting of minds and opportunity for knowledge sharing.
The conference’s keynote speaker is Peter Ryan, security consultant to the International Olympic Committee and widely acknowledged as one of the world’s leading experts in sports event security.
Giovanni Pulice, head of security on TOROC, the organising committee for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, and Vassilios Konstantinidis, head of the Greek police security operation for the Athens Olympic Games, are also among the experts to join the speaker programme.
