NBCOlympics.com has selected News Technologies’ TriggerNews Private Label as its ‘alerting platform of choice’.
The application will be available on the NBCOlympics.com website as of January 1 and allows users to download it in preparation for the opening of the Winter Games on February 10.
The application will allow users to select only those events they want to receive desktop alerts in and then allow them to click through back to the NBCOlympics.com website to read the full story when their associated alert appears.
NBC has signed a partnership deal to send real-time alerts from next year’s Winter Olympic Games direct to users’ PCs.
