ASCOT AGREES ALLIED ASSOCIATION

Royal Ascot is to end years of tradition after confirming next year’s meeting will go ahead with commercial sponsorship for the first time.

The legendary horse racing circuit has agreed a £2.9m deal with Allied Irish Bank – the first of a number of official partners the new-look circuit is recruiting.

The circuit has undergone a £200m refurbishment in recent years, with the circuit due to reopen next summer. The 2005 meeting was held at York.
Allied’s deal will last five-year and certain signage rights around the circuit.
