A1 ON TRACK FOR RATINGS SUCCESS

After its first five races A1GP is reaching an average audience of more than eight million viewers per race in more than 120 countries.

The average audience per race is an increase of 30 per cent on the six million who tuned in for the first race at Brands Hatch in the UK.

A1GP is in final negotiations with OLN in the USA, the cable/satellite sports channel reaching more than 65 million households. It is owned by Comcast, the country's largest cable operator, and recently signed a major carriage deal with the NHL.

Deals have been agreed in the Ukraine, Uruguay and France. A1GP is also in final negotiations with a sports broadcast outlet in Japan.

The motor racing series is targeting 10 million viewers per race by the season's end.
